Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what personal information Rise Wealth Solutions Inc. collects through this website and when we provide advice, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers risews.ca, our Asset Builder page, and our advisory services.

1. Who we are

Rise Wealth Solutions Inc. (“Rise Wealth Solutions”, “we” or “us”) gives life insurance and wealth planning advice to business owners and professionals in Ontario and Alberta. We are responsible for the personal information in our care.

We follow Canada’s federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). When we send you emails or text messages, we also follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Our Privacy Officer, Parth Parasar, oversees how we handle personal information. His details are in section 9.

2. What we collect

When you use this website

  • Details you enter in our forms: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your answers to the four questions on our Asset Builder page.
  • Booking details you give when you schedule a call.
  • Technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our web host and website software record this in routine server logs.

When you become a client

Depending on the services you ask for, we may also collect:

  • Contact details, date of birth and identification.
  • Information about your business: ownership, financial statements, tax information and shareholder details.
  • Your income, assets, liabilities, existing insurance and financial goals.
  • Family and beneficiary details.
  • Banking details for paying premiums.
  • Health and lifestyle information needed for an insurance application. Some of this is collected directly by the insurer.
  • Your Social Insurance Number, only where a carrier, lender or tax rules require it.
  • Notes from our meetings and our correspondence with you.

We collect only what we need for the purpose we have told you about. Health and financial information is sensitive, and we handle it with extra care. Our website is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and book your call.
  • To prepare your review and analysis.
  • To give advice, make recommendations, and arrange the insurance, lending or other products you choose.
  • To submit applications to insurers and lenders on your behalf.
  • To keep in touch with you about your review or your plan.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, tax and record-keeping duties.
  • To protect our website and our clients against fraud and misuse.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Your consent

We collect, use and share your personal information with your consent. Sometimes that consent is express, such as ticking a box on a form or signing an application. Sometimes it is implied, such as when you ask for a call and give us your phone number so we can call you. For sensitive information, such as health and financial details, we ask for your express consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer, subject to legal and contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue providing some services.

Emails and texts

We contact people by email, phone and text message. We send commercial messages only with consent that CASL allows, whether express or implied. For example, implied consent can arise when you ask for a review or book a call, or while you are a client. Our messages identify us, and you can ask us to stop at any time by replying or emailing us.

Regular email and text messages are not secure. Please do not send us sensitive details such as your Social Insurance Number, banking details or health information that way. We will tell you the safe way to share them.

5. Sharing and storage

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • With insurance companies and their underwriting partners, when you apply for coverage.
  • With the managing general agency (MGA) we work through, which supports our insurance business and has its own compliance duties.
  • With banks and lenders, if a financing arrangement is part of your plan.
  • With your accountant, lawyer or other professionals, when you ask us to work with them.
  • With our own advisors and staff, including our Senior Wealth Advisor, who need access to do their work and are bound by confidentiality.
  • With regulators, courts, tax authorities and others, when the law requires or allows it.
  • With a buyer or successor, under confidentiality, if our business is ever sold or reorganized.

Service providers

We use providers who handle information on our behalf: Hostinger (website hosting), Tally (forms), Zcal (scheduling), and Google (email, calendar and fonts). We also use similar providers for services such as file storage, e-signatures and video meetings. We share only what each provider needs.

AI tools

We may use AI tools to help prepare numerical analyses. We do not enter personal information that identifies a client, such as names, contact details, dates of birth or policy numbers, into these tools.

Storage outside Canada

Some of our providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe. Information held in another country may be accessible to authorities there under local laws. To ask about our service providers outside Canada, contact our Privacy Officer (section 9).

6. Cookies and analytics

We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on this website.

Some tools on our pages are provided by third parties. Our forms (Tally), our booking calendar (Zcal) and our web fonts (Google) may set cookies or collect technical information, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as expected.

If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

7. Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Client records: we keep these while you are a client and afterwards for as long as the law, our regulators, our MGA and insurers require, which is typically several years. We then securely delete or anonymize them.
  • Website inquiries that do not lead to a client relationship: we keep these only as long as we need them to follow up with you, and then delete them. You can also ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

We use safeguards that suit the sensitivity of the information, including password protection and limiting access to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a security breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the privacy regulators as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, email our Privacy Officer. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days. In limited cases the law allows us to refuse a request, for example where the information is privileged or would reveal another person’s information. If we do, we will explain why.

If you have a concern, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, for Alberta, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).

9. Contact us
